We are offering an opportunity for current nursing students, recent nursing graduations, or licensed registered nurses to shadow the psychiatric RN position at our facility. The Psychiatric RN job shadow opportunity is a research tool to learn about a career field of interest and to gain real life perspective of what it is like to engage in the role of a Psychiatric RN. RN students and current RNs can get the opportunity to observe an experienced psych nurse to better understand the duties and responsibilities. This is an unpaid job shadow experience, which includes shadowing at least one or two days a week, 4 or 8 hour shifts on days and/or evenings throughout a one month time period. The schedule would be set based on the facility's and the applicant's availability.
