The individual in this position bears overall responsibility for coordinating efficient shift workflow, as well as, providing support to Clinical Specialists and Unit Coordinators. Lead Clinical Services Specialists will communicate adjustments to Clinical Services staff and follow up to ensure that adjustments are adhered to.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Include the following. Others may be assigned.
Utilize Case Tracker to monitor case workflow. Make necessary changes to ensure cases are reviewed and worked in an efficient and timely manner.
Monitor unavailable and idle time of Clinical Specialist to maintain an efficient time management workflow.
Responsible for maintaining a minimum three hospital caseload.
Review ï¿½Not Metsï¿½ and ï¿½Observationsï¿½ of newer staff members to assist them in meeting acceptable protocols.
Document and report system down time to the appropriate parties. (e.g., Chris/Perot/Ron)
Communicate status to staff.
Receive and document Call Off information from team members. Assess and make necessary phone contacts for additional assistance and redistribute case load if necessary.
Communicate staff status via email to Team Leader and Unit Coordinators.
Ensure ï¿½Not Completeï¿½ report is run and VI Web is checked on a regular basis during the shift.
Communicate via phone to Clinical Specialist any important information related to changes and updates.
Handoff shift at end of shift with minimal case load for each Specialist.
Needs to be on hand in office for minimum of two weeks, during new hire training.
Available In Office to support night staff during scheduled Monthly In Office shifts.
Assist with training as necessary.
Complies with all policies & procedures that pertain to HIPAA including the minimum necessary requirements for this position.
As a part of the requirements for this position, the employee has access to the entire medical record for the purpose of coordinating care and planning for discharge needs and arrangements.
Limits the protected health information (PHI) disclosed or requested to the amount reasonable necessary to achieve the purpose of the request. The disclosures or requests that occur on a routine basis include: patient demographics, condition, notification of actual/potential victim of abuse or neglect, description of injuries for the purposes of a crime investigation, actual/potential for organ donation and patient disposition updates.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Include minimum education, technical training, and/or experience preferred to perform the job.
Florida Registered Nurse license (R.N.) or Licensed Practical Nurse (L.P.N.) is required.
Relevant medical experience in the clinical specialty (e.g., care managers for pediatric patients should have pediatric nursing experience).
Conversant knowledge and experience with case management care coordination, and/or utilization review
Possesses ability and confidence in collaborating with Team Leads and Director of Clinical Services.
