RNFA Per Diem Rotating Shift

Assists the surgeon in the first assistant role, as defined by the privileges established through Medical Staff Office/credentialing process, as an Allied Health professional. The RNFA can act only as the RNFA, not a scrub or circulating RN, during a surgical procedure, concurrently.

Required Training/Education/Experience/Certification: Minimum two years previous full time experience in the operating room. Successful completion of a RNFA course; see credentialing by Medical Staff bylaws/privileges. Associates Degree or equivalent. CA RN license, BLS, ACLS, and CNOR.

Desired: Training/Education/Experience/Certification: PALS

Communication is an essential skill requiring the ability to see, hear, and speak English. Must be able to assist the surgeon, in the first assistant role, in the Operating Room. Analytical and grammatical skills are necessary to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing. Organizational and multi-tasking skills are essential. Must be fluent in spoken and written English. Must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position.
