Childbirth Educator PRN Days Position Summary
Under the direction of the Perinatal Coordinator, provides education and resources to pregnant women and their families in a classroom or tour group setting on a wide range of topics that assist the family unit through the childbirth process, baby care and development, sibling interactions, reproductive health, pregnancy, and breastfeeding.
THE CHILDBIRTH EDUCATOR PRN DAYS CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING EDUCATION, LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE.

Must have knowledge of adult learning concepts and working with diversified groups.

Must act as a role model and resource person.
Discretion is required in handling confidential information.
Must be able to teach or lead groups on a variety of days, evenings and weekends.
Previous prenatal education experience preferred. Required if not a certified instructor
Certification as a childbirth instructor strongly preferred (ICEA, CBE, ACBE, or CCCE)
