Join our team of Pediatric Hospitalists in Chicago!
Loyola University Chicago’s Stritch School of Medicine is seeking a board certified/board eligible pediatrician to join their Pediatric Hospitalist Team in Chicago, Illinois for a full-time faculty position at Loyola’s community site MacNeal Hospital.
A successful candidate will join the current team of 4 Pediatric Hospitalists who provide Inpatient newborn and pediatric care at MacNeal Hospital. The team provides 24/7 coverage for the Level II NICU, delivery room and well newborn care, Inpatient Pediatric Service, and consultation in the emergency department. The Team also provides education to rotating medical students and residents and lead department initiatives in quality improvement and patient safety.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and clinical skills, have experience working in the community setting, have strong delivery room skills and have an interest in medical education. In-hospital 24-hour shifts allow flexibility of schedule. There are multiple opportunities for growth and leadership experience to lead committees in different areas of interest.
MacNeal Hospital is a 347-bed community hospital located in Berwyn, Illinois, 10 miles west of Chicago and is 4 miles away from Loyola University Medical Center/ Ronald McDonald Children’s Hospital. Inpatient pediatrics includes 10 floor beds, and a Level 2 Nursery with a neonatologist available for critical deliveries.
