Pediatric Nurse Extern - Pediatric Rehab

JOB SUMMARY: Performs nursing activities that have been documented as learned in the nursing program; may assist with medication administration upon completion of the pediatric theory and clinical course work, and successful completion of the Valley Children's medication examination.

REQUIREMENTS: This position requires: A) a High School Diploma/GED; B) current enrollment with completion of at least two semesters/or equivalent in an accredited RN Program, C) enrollment throughout employment in an approved Work Study Course through an affiliated school (Fresno City College, CSU Fresno, West Hills, COS, Merced, CSU Stanislaus), D) BLS certification within 30 days of hire or transfer into position.

Advancement to PNE II is based on completion of the pediatric theory and clinical course work, and successful completion of the Valley Children's medication examination.

POSITION DETAILS: Per Diem and shifts may vary, must be able to complete week-long new hire/clinical orientation (40 hours). Typical start dates for this position are in January and July or August to allow students to be able to complete this orientation without conflicting with school schedule. Availability to start outside of these dates can be discussed.

PAY RANGE: PNE I $17.00 / PNE II $17.85
