Description

UNCPN Lenoir Neonatology in partnership with UNC Health Lenoir, located in Kinston, NC, are currently seeking NP/PAs to work fulltime in their Level 1 Nursery.

Qualifications:

• Certified NP/PA
• NRP Certified (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
• L&D, Nursery or Pediatric NP/PA or RN work experience preferred
• Neonatal NP/PA preferred
• Open to new grad NP/PAs
• Work independently with supervising physician oversight

Schedule:

• Day Shift
• 7 days on - 7 days off
• 24-hour shift
• 7am-7pm: Rounding on-site at UNC Health Lenoir
• 7pm to 7am: At home call, after hours - Must live within close driving distance to UNC Health Lenoir

Responsibilities:

• Primary caregiver in Level 1 Nursery to newborn infants
• Assess & diagnose newborn infants
• Prepare for transfer, if needed, to local Level 2-3 NICUs
• Prescribe medication on your own authority with the agreement of supervising physician
• Educate/support parents/guardians in the care of their newborn
• Order/perform medical tests and procedures
