Indiana University Health Southern Indiana Physicians is seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) to join our team in Bloomington, Indiana.  Our mission is to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care to women throughout their reproductive lives, and we are looking for a compassionate professional who shares this commitment.  

Positing Details 

• Provide comprehensive prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care to women and their families.
• Conduct routine gynecological examinations and preventative health care services
• Collaborate with obstetricians, pediatricians and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality care
• Perform deliveries in a variety of settings, including hospitals and birthing centers
• Full scope inpatient and outpatient obstetrical and postpartum care.  
• Rotating schedule with 6 other CNMs
• Inpatient - 70% / Outpatient - 30%
• Nights, weekends and holidays

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing with a specialization in Nurse Midwifery 
• Current certification as a Nurse Midwife by the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB)
• Active Indiana RN license 
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment

The new IU Health Bloomington Hospital and Regional Academic Health Center opened in December 2021. The facility offers a personalized approach to inpatient services (including intensive care, complex surgeries and comprehensive obstetrics and gynecology services), outpatient services with leading-edge diagnostic testing, flexible space in the emergency department for post-care observation, a dedicated trauma center and a cancer infusion center.
