We're looking for a Pediatric Medical Assistant to join our friendly, high-energy Pediatrics team in Avon, Colorado--a town where hiking, biking, skiing, and family-centered living are part of the everyday rhythm.
What You'll Do
As a Pediatric Medical Assistant, you'll be an essential part of a collaborative care team dedicated to supporting infants, children, teens, and their families. You'll create a warm, welcoming environment while helping ensure each child receives compassionate, high-quality care.
Your impact includes:
Taking vitals and documenting patient history in a kid-friendly, family-centered way
Assisting providers with pediatric exams, vaccinations, and minor procedures
Performing venipunctures, injections, and other delegated clinical tasks
Supporting developmental screenings and routine well-child checks
Maintaining clear communication with parents and caregivers
Coordinating patient flow to keep visits smooth and low-stress
Keeping exam rooms stocked, clean, and ready for curious little visitors
Upholding HIPAA, OSHA, infection control, and Vail Health values
What You Bring
2+ years of clinical or administrative healthcare experience preferred--pediatric experience a plus
Skills in venipuncture, injections, and basic clinical procedures
Certification/licensure as a Medical Assistant, CNA, EMT, LPN, RN, or related role
BLS certification required
Comfortable working in a fast-paced pediatric setting
Tech-savvy with EHR systems and general computer skills
A warm, patient, family-centered approach to care
