Position Summary

Phoenix Children’s Division of Endocrinology and Diabetes is seeking a Pediatric Endocrinologist to join our team. The Division of Endocrinology and Diabetes at Phoenix Children’s is the largest pediatric endocrinology and diabetes program in Arizona. The pediatric diabetes program holds a Certificate of Recognition by the American Diabetes Association. We have CDEs, RDs, RNs, Diabetes Program Manager, a CARE obesity program, a research director, and a quality director. We currently cover five satellite clinics and the inpatient endocrinology service at Phoenix Children’s. We serve a diverse patient population and many multidisciplinary clinics including CARE/Obesity, Bone Clinic, Cancer survivors, Bone Marrow Transplant, Iron overload, and Gender Management. With its tight-knit faculty and long-term experienced staff, the Division of Endocrinology and Diabetes at Phoenix Children’s is devoted to helping our providers succeed on multiple platforms. The department is staffed with an Endocrine Research director, PhD who helps guide physicians in starting new research projects, as well as an Endocrine Quality director who helps guide physicians in starting new quality projects. Weekly academic meetings including journal clubs and research meetings are held. We have a well-established fellowship program that has an incoming fellow in 2022 and have extensive interaction with a large cohort of pediatric residents. Phoenix Children’s has academic appointments at University of Arizona College of Medicine-Phoenix, Mayo Medical School, and Creighton Med School.

The staff physician shall provide patient care services and will support the PCH mission of providing hope, healing and the best health care for children and their families.

Education

• MD or DO degree. (Required)

Certifications

• Current Arizona License to Practice Medicine or the ability to obtain prior to start date. (Required)
• Board certified/Board Eligible in the appropriate specialty. (Required)

Special Skills

• The ability to move freely from facility to facility, as well as, the ability to move freely throughout facilities and examine patients. (Required)
• The ability to communicate by telephone, computer or other communication devices. (Required)
• The ability to perform after hours or night call responsibilities as needed. (Required)
• The ability to work regularly scheduled work hours. (Required)
• The ability to work well under pressure. (Required)
